HearDis! Delivers Music for all Mykita Stores Worldwide.
After successfully launching eleven stores in eight countries, Berlin-based eyewear manufacturer Mykita faced a problem: While the futuristic and minimal interior made a clear visual statement, the stores were lacking the matching sound. Instead of a well-planned music concept adjusted to the brand and its target group, the store staff was left alone to play their personal hits. This resulted in a biased music selection, frequent repetitions and insufficient sound quality.
The Basics
We derived the musical range of Mykita from the brand’s core attributes and compiled it into a number of stylistic categories that reflect the diversity of the brand. On this basis we adjust the in-store music profile exact to the hour to the different target groups addressed in the store during the day and week.

A Coherent Sonic Appearance
The positive effect of music at the point of sale is well documented. When the right music hits the spot, customers feel more comfortable, stay longer and spend more money. A coherent sonic appearance at all touch points also strengthens the brand relationship. This is what Mykita has to say about the new in-store music:
„Music is among the most important factors of the brand experience. We wished to find our "Mykity sound" and play it consistently in the shops. The selection created by HearDis! is highly accepted and gains positive reactions from our staff.“Global Brand Director, Mykita
Mykita In-Store Music Stream
We decided in favour of a streaming solution for Mykita instead of our established in-store music hardware player, the main advantage being the swift adjustability of the playlist. This enables us to respond to in-store promotions, ad campaigns and the latest musical trends on short notice. The music stream can be received via tablet, pc or laptop in every Mykita store.
