Intimate Quest in an Extraordinary Cityscape

Initially produced for BMW's Embrace the Unknown global campaign for X4 - a compact luxury SUV - "The Wave" was composed and produced by PlayDis! with the support of Frank Wiedemann (Âme), who contributed with some of the gritty sound effects in the background. The campaign was created by agency Serviceplan Hamburg and directed by award-winning German director of commercials Sebastian Strasser.

Improv Excursion into the Wilderness

Embrace the Unknown for X4 was so well-received that BMW adapted the same cinematography concept of impressive fluid scenery for the Embrace the Unknown campaign planned for X1 - a line of subcompact luxury SUV. "The Wave" is here used again, this time invigorating an improvised excursion across wild landscapes.

Seamless Journey with Electro-Mobility and Autonomous Driving

Most recently, "The Wave" is featured in the global campaign for Visionary Mobility - BMW's brand focused on electric vehicles by developing multifaceted concepts for sustainable and visionary mobility right up to autonomous driving.

Industry Recognition

"The Wave" was ultimately produced as a stand-alone track, receiving renown awards such as "ADC Auszeichnung" for Original Music (Art Directors Club Germany, 2015), "Bronze Craft Sound" (Die Klappe, 2015) and "Best Original Music" (Ciclope International Festival of Craft, 2014).
